Dr. Abby Degaust

Owner, Doctor Of Dental Surgery (D.D.S)

Dr. Abby Degaust is from Woodstock, New Brunswick. She attended the University of Maine for her undergraduate degree where she played Division I hockey. After her undergraduate degree she moved to Boston and worked for a Harvard Medical School research lab doing Haematology and Oncology research. From there she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry, so she attended Dalhousie University where she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2017. Abby was class Valedictorian and won many awards such as the 2017 Dr. Frank Woodbury Memorial Prize, 2017 Canadian Dental Association Student Leadership Award, and 2017 CFAO Dr. Norman Levine Undergraduate Student Award to name a few. Abby continues to pursue leadership in dentistry and is the current President of the Fredericton Dental Society. She won an award of merit from the New Brunswick Dental Society in 2021 for her leadership role in the Fredericton area.

Abby and her husband Tim like to stay active and can often be found taking their dog Ella on adventures. They also dedicate their time to giving back to the community and have been participating in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program in Fredericton for the last three years.

Abby is dedicated to ensuring each and every patient has an enjoyable dental experience and encourages open and honest communication with her patients. She looks forward to continuing to get to know the current patients and meeting new faces as well.

Dr. Scott Myles

Associate, Doctor Of Dental Surgery (D.D.S)

Dr. Myles graduated in 1994 from Dalhousie University with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Although he practices all aspects of Dentistry, his personal niche is in the realm of surgical extractions, especially wisdom teeth and root canal procedures.

Dr. Myles is a keen listener and truly values each client’s voice and what they have to say.

In his free time, you can find Dr. Myles with his family, teaching adult Sunday School classes, and tinkering in the construction of houses.

Sarah Ougler



Sarah been working at the Family Dental Centre since 2008. She is a registered Dental Hygienist who graduated as Valedictorian from Oulton College and was also awarded outstanding clinical performance in patient care.  Sarah worked for three years as a Dental Assistant prior to furthering her education in Dental Hygiene.

What she loves about being a Dental Hygienist is being able to connect with patients, helping them learn more about their health and working with them to achieve a great and confident smile. Originally from Quispamsis, Sarah has lived in Fredericton since 2004. In her free time, she enjoys any type of physical activity indoors and out, and loves spending time with friends and family.

Jaime Eveleigh


Jaime has been working at the Family Dental Centre since June 2009. She is a registered Dental Hygienist who graduated Valedictorian from Dalhousie University in 2007. Prior to becoming a Dental Hygienist, Jaime was a Level II Dental Assistant for 7 years. As the child of a military family, Jaime has been fortunate enough to have lived all over Canada.

Her family is originally from Cape Breton, N.S., where she visits often. She now calls Fredericton her home. Jaime enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to travel, hike, bike, rollerblade, cross country ski, and snow shoe.

She is looking forward to helping you achieve a wonderful smile and excellent oral health for life.

Kim Cosman

Dental Assistant

Kim has been a Dental Assistant since 1991. She is most passionate about helping the patient feel at ease and help them overcome their fears.

Kim was born and raised in Fredericton. She has two beautiful daughters, who both are getting married, one in October 2021 and the other in August 2022. She also has a one-year-old Haveness/Maltese mix named Chloe who is her personal support dog. Chloe filled a big void in her heart.

When Kim’s not at work she loves to craft, scrapbook, color, and read. She likes to spend time with family and friends playing board games. You can also find her at Mariner’s Point campground in Nackawic.

Ute Lamb


Ute came to Canada in 1989 and has had the pleasure of working at the Family Dental Centre since 1999.

She is the first person you meet when you come in for your appointment and is happy to help you with your bookings, your insurance forms and claim payments. Her goal is to see everyone have a positive dental visit.

Ute studied Home Economics and has a Business Diploma from Germany. She met her husband Mark when he was stationed in Lahr, Germany. They are blessed with three wonderful children and four Grandkids she loves to the moon and back. In her free time, Ute loves to sew, quilt, read, cook and garden.

Something you may not know about Ute is that she loves teaching cooking and sewing classes.



Jane has been working at the Family Dental Centre since October 2015. She is a registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Canadian Forces Dental Services School in 1991. Prior to becoming a Dental Hygienist, Jane was a military Dental Assistant for 7 years.

As a member of the military Jane had the opportunity to live in many provinces as well as West Germany. After 20 years of service Jane and her husband Danny and three children settled back in NB.

Jane worked in private practice for ten more years before joining our team part time. She loves to travel, hike, bike, camp and Kayak. Jane’s favourite hobby is photography and she is very active in the local photography club, Photo Fredericton.

Lindsay McCormack


Lindsay is a registered Dental Hygienist and became a member of the Family Dental Centre team in 2017.  Lindsay was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

After High School, Lindsay began her education at St. Thomas University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  Lindsay later graduated with a diploma in Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie University (2013) and loves her role as hygienist.

In Lindsay’s free time, she enjoys cooking and game nights with her family.  She also enjoys dinner/movie dates with her friends and hiking, biking and canoeing with her husband, Brent & dog, Madden.

Many weekends throughout the year you will find Lindsay at her family’s cottage at Grand Lake.
